Founded on the belief that world-class cancer care should not be a privilege, NKure is building the next generation of Natural Killer (NK) cell-based immunotherapies for cancer and infectious disease. We are a passionate team of scientists, clinicians, and operators, backed by high-net-worth individuals and institutional capital, working at the intersection of cutting-edge biology and real-world impact.
The Problem We’re Solving
Cancer and infectious diseases represent two of India’s most pressing public health challenges – and the gap between what patients need and what they can access has never been wider.
Cell-based immunotherapies have emerged as a powerful frontier in treatment. Yet most therapies available today are autologous – manufactured individually for each patient. While effective, they are inherently difficult to scale, making them costly, time-consuming, and out of reach for the vast majority of Indians who need them. Allogeneic approaches offer a promising path to greater accessibility, but have historically been complicated by side effects such as graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) and cytokine release syndrome, which can lead to prolonged hospitalisation.
The field is still evolving – and NKure is helping shape where it goes next.
Our Approach
NK cells are the immune system’s natural frontline defenders – innately capable of recognising and destroying cancer cells and pathogen-infected cells without prior sensitisation. Compared to other cell therapy modalities, NK cells carry a significantly more favourable safety profile, with lower risk of GVHD and cytokine storms. They are also highly amenable to large-scale manufacture, making them one of the most promising platforms for delivering affordable immunotherapy at population scale.
Crucially, no NK cell therapy has yet received regulatory approval anywhere in the world. NKure is at the forefront of this emerging frontier – engineering NK cells for greater potency, precision, and scalability, across both autologous and allogeneic approaches. By combining rigorous science with a relentless focus on cost and accessibility, we are working to turn one of oncology’s most exciting biological opportunities into a therapy that works for India.
